Road unsuitable for motor vehicles
What it means
This is advice, not a prohibition: the road is legally open to you but too narrow, rough or steep to be sensible in a car. You'll meet it at the mouth of green lanes and unmade tracks. Treat it as a strong hint and pick another route rather than testing whether your car fits.
