No through road for vehicular traffic in direction indicated from junction ahead
What it means
The turning ahead is a dead end for vehicles. The red bar shows which arm has no way out, though a footpath may still carry on beyond it. You will see it approaching residential side roads and cul-de-sacs. If that is your turn, expect to have to turn the car round at the end of it.
