Information signs
Number of traffic lanes ahead on a dual carriageway reduces from three to two. Traffic in the right-hand lane must move into the lane on the immediate left
What it means
Three lanes drop to two just ahead, and it is the right-hand lane that disappears. You will meet it on dual carriageways and after motorway junctions. If you are in that lane, check your mirrors, signal and move left early rather than racing to the point where the tarmac runs out.
