Level crossing signs
Location of railway or tramway level crossing without a gate or barrier
What it means
The St Andrew's cross marks the crossing point itself where there are no gates or barriers - the rails are right there in front of you. Give way to trains and trams, obey any light signals on the post, and check the road beyond is clear before you move off so you never end up queuing on the line.
