Vehicular traffic must not proceed into a length of road where one-way working is temporarily necessary

Vehicular traffic must not proceed into a length of road where one-way working is temporarily necessary sign

What it means

The STOP side of a hand-held board where the road is down to one lane and traffic takes turns. It's a sign giving orders, so you MUST obey it: stop and wait. Don't creep forward and don't follow the car in front through — move off only when the board is turned round to GO.

Highway Code Rule 109 — read it on GOV.UK
