What it means
Motorway regulations begin at this sign, including the national limit of 70 mph for cars. As a provisional licence holder you MUST NOT drive on a motorway unless you are with a DVSA approved driving instructor in a dual-control car. Use the slip road to build up to traffic speed before merging.
