What it means
A camera symbol above a 30 roundel: cameras are enforcing the limit here and that limit is 30 mph, which you MUST NOT exceed. You will meet it on urban routes with a known speeding problem. Get your speed down well before the camera and hold it - braking hard at the last moment invites a shunt from behind.
