Road markings
Single yellow mark on the kerb
What it means
One short yellow mark painted across the kerb means no loading or unloading at the times shown on a nearby black and white plate (Rule 247). If the plate shows no days, the restriction applies every day, including Sundays and bank holidays. You may still stop for passengers to get in or out. Always check the times on the plate.
