Road markings
Bus stop markings
What it means
A yellow box with BUS STOP marked in it shows where buses pull in. The thick solid yellow line along the kerb side means other vehicles are prohibited from stopping there during the times on the upright bus stop sign - not even to drop someone off. Even where there is no such restriction, do not stop or park at or near a bus stop (Rule 243). Give priority to buses signalling to pull away when you can do so safely.
