Road markings
Lane line
What it means
Short broken white lines that divide a wide road into lanes for traffic travelling the same way. Keep between them (Rule 131). Before changing lane, check your mirrors, take a quick sideways look into your blind spot if necessary, and signal, so you do not force anyone else to change course or speed.
