Road markings
KEEP CLEAR road marking
What it means
The words KEEP CLEAR painted across the road, usually between two white bars, mark a stretch that is to be kept free of stationary traffic - typically so vehicles can get in and out of a side road or entrance. In a queue, stop before the marking and only move across it when there is room for you to clear it completely. The white bars are sometimes left out.
