Road markings
Hazard warning line
What it means
A centre line or lane line whose dashes have become long and whose gaps have become short. That change is the warning: there is a hazard ahead, such as a bend or a junction, and an upright sign may say what it is. Do not cross it unless you can see the road is clear and you want to overtake or turn off (Rule 127) - which, just before a hazard, it seldom will be.
