Motorway signs
Drivers should keep a distance of two chevron markings from the vehicle in front
What it means
Chevrons are painted along the road, and this tells you to keep two of them between you and the car in front. You will see it on motorway stretches with a history of nose-to-tail crashes. Drop back until two full chevrons sit in the gap; if you cannot see two, you are too close.
