Motorway signs
Closure of all lanes of a three lane carriageway ahead
What it means
Red lights are flashing and all three lanes are shown blocked, so the road is closed, not just your lane. You MUST NOT go beyond this signal in any lane, and you MUST NOT use the hard shoulder to get round it. Slow right down and stop, unless a police or traffic officer directs you on.
Highway Code Rule 258 — read it on GOV.UK
