What it means
A red circle, so it's a ban: no riding here. It usually covers a footpath, subway or pedestrianised street where riding would put people on foot at risk. For you it's a cue that anyone with a bike here should be pushing it, so treat them as pedestrians and give way as you would to someone walking.
