Bus and cycle signs
Cycles crossing ahead
What it means
A warning that a cycle route crosses or joins the road just ahead, often where a traffic-free path meets the road. Riders can appear from behind a hedge or fence with almost no warning, and plenty of them are children. Ease off, scan both sides early, and be ready to give way.
