No stopping on main carriageway
What it means
A clearway: no stopping on the main carriageway at any time, for the whole length of road it covers. You will meet it on fast rural A-roads that have no yellow lines painted at all. You MUST NOT stop or park on the carriageway here, so use a layby or pull right off the road if you need a break.
