On-street parking
'Pay and display' ticket-regulated parking place
What it means
You can park here, but you buy your time first: pay at the machine in the direction of the arrow, then put the ticket face up on the dashboard where it can be read from outside. Common in town centres and station streets. Overstaying the time printed on the ticket is what earns you a penalty.
