On-street parking
No stopping during periods indicated except to pick up or set down passengers
What it means
Between the times shown you cannot stop on this road, or on its verges, except to let passengers in or out. You will meet it on main roads into town during the rush hours. You MUST NOT stop within those hours for anything else, not to wait for someone and not for a quick errand.
