Give way to traffic on the major road
What it means
You are joining a more important road and the traffic already on it has priority. You will meet this at the end of side roads and on roundabout approaches, with broken white lines across your lane. Slow early, look both ways, and you MUST give way - though you need not stop if it is genuinely clear.
