Warning signs
Slippery road ahead
What it means
The surface ahead grips less than normal, so you could slide where you would usually hold on. It goes up while a road is waiting to be resurfaced, and it is worst in the wet. Brake early and in a straight line and keep steering and accelerator gentle; in the wet, stopping distances are at least double.
