Warning signs
Bend ahead to the left
What it means
The road swings left just ahead, and it is sharp enough that you would struggle to take it at your current speed. You meet these on country roads where a hedge or a crest hides how tight the bend is. Slow down and change gear before the bend, not in it, and keep left rather than drifting over the centre line.
