Warning signs
Pedestrians in road ahead
What it means
People are likely to be walking in the road here because there is no footway, or the footway stops for a stretch. It is common on country lanes and village edges. Ease off, expect someone in dark clothing just round a bend, and pass wide and slow; walkers may be facing you on your side of the road.
