Flood warning sign
What it means
A temporary sign, put out while a length of road is flooded or while flooding is expected to return shortly, and taken down once the danger has passed - so do not write it off as out of date just because the road looks dry when you get there. If you cannot see how deep the water is, do not drive into it, turn round. If you do go through, crawl in a low gear, then dry the brakes with a gentle dab once you are clear.
