Diversion route symbol: circular
What it means
When a road is closed, traffic is sent round a signed diversion marked by a black symbol on a yellow patch. It may be a square, circle, triangle or diamond, either filled in solid or drawn as an outline, or a black cross shaped like an X. The symbol means nothing on its own; it simply tells one diversion apart from another. Note the symbol shown at the closure and follow that same one at every junction until you rejoin your road.
