Warning signs
Children going to or from school or playground ahead
What it means
Children are likely to be walking or crossing here on their way to a school or playground, and this triangle always carries a plate naming the reason: 'School' or 'Playground', 'Patrol' for a school crossing patrol, or a warning about disabled, blind or deaf children or a missing footway. Children step out without looking and are easily hidden by parked cars. Get your speed right down around start and finish times and cover the brake.
