Manoeuvres
Bay parking
Bay parking succeeds or fails at the set-up position, before you have even started turning - the space you give yourself decides how much steering correction you will need inside the bay.

Sub-skills
Lesson 1
Forward bay parking to the left
The reference point for a left-hand bay park is not on the car - it is you. Sitting on the right, you lose sight of the bay line as you turn, so the set-up lines your own seating position up with the bay next to the one you want.

Lesson 2
Forward bay parking to the right
Turning right puts the bay on your own side of the car, which gives you a reference the left-hand park does not have: your right wing mirror lined up against the bay marking.
